Police Department
Overview
The Allendale Police Department is an accredited police agency that provides primary response to all medical, fire and rescue emergencies as well as traffic control, crime investigation and other public safety functions. Common service calls handled by patrol officers involve investigation of motor vehicle accidents, animal complaints, vacant house checks, assisting disabled and locked out motorists and assisting residents with burglar alarm and physical security concerns.
Police headquarters is staffed 24 hours per day, dispatching all Borough emergency services. An in-house computer system maintains emergency locations and contact information on all residential and business properties, and cross-references emergency keys that residents may store at headquarters.
Staff members, by appointment, provide various free services including traffic/seat belt information, group tours of headquarters and public speaking engagements. If you are interested in any of these services please contact police headquarters at (201) 825-1900 and the Communications Officer will direct your call to the right officer.
