License Information

The Borough of Allendale requires that dogs and cats be licensed.

An updated copy of the rabies vaccination (valid through November 1st of the licensing year) and a check made out to the Borough of Allendale must be presented at registration, in person or by mail beginning January 1st through January 31st.

Rabies Prevention

To prevent transmission of rabies to humans and their domestic pets, immunization and licensing of cats and dogs is required in Allendale.  Please be advised that Allendale residents must notify the health department and/or police department of all bites, scratches and other incidents involving domestic and/or wild animals, whether animal to human or animal to animal.

Tyco Animal Control

Tyco Animal Control is the Borough of Allendale’s animal control service. They are the ones that will be taking care of any animal complaints within the Borough of Allendale. If you have any questions with regards to any animal complaints, please call Borough Hall at (201) 818-4400 ext 211.

On weekends and holidays, please call the Allendale Police Department at (201) 825-1900 or call Tyco directly at (201) 652-4554. For additional information about Tyco themselves, please log onto www.tycoanimalcontrol.com.
